CHEMICAL PEELS

This concentrated physician-strength glycolic acid removes the dead skin cells from the superficial layer to reveal a softer, smoother complexion. This is a Jan Marini Skin Research Resurfacing Gel Peel System that combines salicylic acid prepping solution and glycolic acid gel. A series of treatments is highly recommended to achieve improvement in your skin’s texture, tone and appearance.

Amino Acid Peel: an AFA (Acidified Filaggrin-based Amino Acid) peel is a form of a rapid exfoliation like the glycolic acid peel but with less irritation to help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while encouraging new skin regeneration. This system has all the benefits of glycolic and amino acid peels plus more to rejuvenate normal to oily skin. Finally, a chemical peel designed to help oily and acne-prone skin types! A series of treatments is sometimes recommended to improve in your skin’s texture, tone and appearance.

Obagi® Blue Peel: An aggressive TCA (trichloroacetic acid) Peel that is performed by Dr. Markmann. This Obagi® Blue Peel is in a special blue dye base to slow penetration, allowing the doctor to control the depth of the peel and number of coats applied in order to tailor the process to your skin’s specific needs. This in-office procedure can also be performed on the neck, chest, hands, back, arms and legs. Immediately after the procedure, a bluish tint remains on your skin, which usually washes off within 12 to 24 hours. Your skin should start peeling in 2 to 3 days and continue over the next 7 to 10 days. Specific pre and post instructions will be given to the patient prior to the Blue Peel. Healing time will vary with each patient but the results will be the same. It will remove most blemishes and skin discolorations such hyperpigmentation. It will significantly improve overall appearance in skin tone and texture and minimize acne scars.

What is Zeno MD™? Zeno™ is a handheld, portable electronic medical device that is clinically proven to make pimples disappear fast! Oleeva® - Scar Shapes are a topical product for the management of hypertrophic scars and keloids. Consistent use of Oleeva® Scar Shapes may minimize existing scars and may be used after a surgery or a traumatic injury to aid in minimizing new scars. It is self-adhesive and is recommended to be worn 24 hours a day. Each sheet of Oleeva should last approximately 6-8 weeks with proper daily care.

Mederma® - Reduces the appearance of old and new scars resulting from surgery, burns, acne and stretch marks. Mederma® Skin Care for Scars is a greaseless topical gel that helps make old and new scars appear softer, smoother and less noticeable.

Epi-Derm™, Biodermis™ - Silicone Gel Sheeting is intended for use in the management and control of old and new hypertrophic or keloid scars resulting from burns, surgical or traumatic injury of the skin. Consistent use of Gel Sheeting can reduce hypertrophic or keloid scarring. It is adherent and is recommended to be worn for 24 hours, with a minimum of 12 hours a day. It can be easily washed with warm, mild soapy water and reapplied.

Rejuveness™ - Pure Silicone Sheeting is a soft, durable, reusable silicone sheeting that softens, smoothes, and flattens scars and restores skin to a more normal texture and color. Topical Anesthetics

L.M.X-5™ - A brand name topical cream that contains an anesthetic called lidocaine in a non-prescription strength. Lidocaine can relieve the pain caused by minor cuts burns and sunburn. However it’s main purpose is to temporarily numb the skin for injectable fillers.

Topicaine® - A non-oily gel indicated as a topical analgesic for use on normal intact skin for pain relief. It contains Lidocaine 4% in a drug delivery system with skin permeation enhancers and soothing agents. It penetrates deep into the dermis, where it reaches the pain receptors with a long lasting effect. Topicaine® is for use with any laser skin or hair treatments and injectable fillers.

Scar Lighteners

HQRA - A Hydroquinone (7%), Retin-A(0.05%), hydrocortisone and Kojic Acid based lightening cream indicated for the use of hyper pigmented scars, brown spots and hyperpigmentation of the skin.

Scarlight MD® - A unique and very effective combination of traditional medical Scarlights and homeopathic ingredients. It quickly penetrates leaving no residue on the surface to affect clothing. Scarlight MD® is indicated for the use of darkened (hyperpigmented) scars, age and liver spots and under eye circles.
