Labiaplasty

Labioplasty is a procedure that has gotten more and more attention in recent years. It is sometimes performed for reconstructive or cosmetic reasons.

Many women complain of discomfort with intercourse due to the excessive tissue being drawn inwards by the penis causing a pulling sensation and pain. It is also commonly done for cosmetic reasons, minimizing many women's self consciousness that their vaginal region (labia) doesn't look that way it did prior to pregnancy or even just the way they want it to. And, just like any other body part, they do not all develop the same on everyone. Many women's labia are naturally longer, and more visible then others.

The procedure of labioplasty is therefore performed to reduce the size of a women's labia minor a or "inner lips." This reduces the discomfort of intercourse as there is less skin to be pulled on. It will also provide a more youthful and natural appearance to the external vaginal region also known as the vulva.

Like any other plastic/ cosmetic surgery procedure, labioplasty is most commonly performed to make people happier with the appearance of their body as well as make them more comfortable and confident.
