Meet Dr. Dauria
Danielle M. Dauria, MD is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon serving the greater Baltimore metropolitan area. She has trained extensively in both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery in locations known all over the world for their cutting edge advancements in medicine including Rochester, St. Louis, Boston and the Washington, DC area.
Dr. Dauria is originally from Buffalo, NY and while an undergraduate student at the State University of New York at Buffalo she was first introduced to plastic surgery while volunteering in the burn unit at the county medical center. She graduated summa cum laude with concentrations in both pre-med and business administration and received numerous awards and scholarships. She went on to medical school at the esteemed University of Rochester School of Medicine and then spent 5 years in St. Louis, MO where she completed her plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Saint Louis University. While there she published several research articles, gave presentations at various Grand Rounds and served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Dauria moved to Boston for additional training as a plastic surgery fellow at the prestigious Boston University and Boston Medical Center where she was then invited to stay on as a plastic surgery faculty member responsible for teaching medical students and training surgical residents. She completed her training with a second fellowship which focused specifically on advanced aesthetic surgery at the Austin-Weston Center for Cosmetic Surgery in the Washington, DC area where she learned the techniques needed to achieve superior cosmetic surgical outcomes that sets one apart from other surgeons.
Throughout her extensive training she has learned a variety of ways to perform each type of surgery which allow her to artistically tailor every procedure to the individual patient’s unique desires and anatomy. She believes that plastic surgery is best when the results are natural and achieve greater harmony and balance for the patient. Dr. Dauria will take the time to understand each patient’s goals and answer any questions. She will discuss each procedure in detail, explaining not only the risks and benefits, but also what to do to prepare for surgery and what to expect after surgery so that you can obtain the best results possible.
Dr. Dauria believes that compassion is important in medicine. No surgery is ever “routine” for the patient and she and her team will work with you every step of the way so that you are as comfortable and relaxed as possible throughout the entire surgical and healing process.
Her interests outside of medicine include, salsa and ballroom dancing, traveling, participating in a variety of water sports and volunteering for environmental clean-up groups, animal shelters and building houses with Habitat for Humanity.
